Thank you for visiting our website. West Dorset Mencap is a local group based in Bridport, Dorset and is affiliated to Mencap. On our website you will find information about our work and fundraising activities as well as information on how funds are used to support those living with a learning disability in the West Dorset region.

We have a thriving charity shop in Bridport which helps to raise funds for people with learning disabilities living in our local area. We have supported community projects such as workshops at Bridport Arts Centre to individuals who are setting up their own home and need to buy equipment.

Our charity runs two social and activity clubs.  The Gateway Club meets fortnightly in Bridport WI Hall and offers a fun and varied programme of activities including discos and singing workshops.  We also run a fun-packed weekly activity club called All Sorts, also in Bridport WI Hall.  Please click the above menus for more details and meeting dates.
